In 1910, Chanel opened its doors at number 21 rue Cambon in Paris. The brand is the dream of a woman, Gabrielle Chanel, determined to forge her own path in the world of fashion with creative talent and a business vision that revolutionized the traditional codes of luxury and those related to femininity.
In 1921, her first perfume was born, the most iconic of the brand, Chanel No. 5, created by the perfumer Ernest Beaux. It is considered the first modern perfume due to its olfactory composition, using an overdose of aldehydes, and for displaying the brand name printed on the packaging.
Chanel is the first brand that created the practice of licensing by forming the company Perfumes Chanel in 1924. It has an extensive collection of fragrances that have achieved great success, such as Cuir de Russie (1924), Cristalle (1974), Coco (1984), Allure (1996), Coco Mademoiselle (2001), Chance (2002), Bleu (2010), and the Les Exclusifs line, among others.
